WIPCOL has implemented new protocols for patent security, which have been declared mandatory for all member law firms. Under the new protocols, the WIPCOL member law firms will be required to ensure their clients harmonize data privacy laws across all GLIPS member states and protect and empower the data privacy of citizens of the GLIPS Member states.

So, its reach is broad and it will apply to the processing of personal data by controllers and processors of GLIPS member states.,
